Ok so every place ive lived the router or modem is always placed somewhere my pc isnt and I always have to resort to a wifi adaptor

However they blow and I cant run an ethernet cable all the way from my pc to the modem

I need some tips on what to do...Im tired of my signal going out while I stream or play a game

have the modem/router in the same room as your pc.. by putting your pc in the room the router/modem goes.

you're in control of this stuff when they run the wires through the house

Get a high quality pcie wireless card. Will be noticeably stronger than even a USB 3.0. I have the TPLink Archer T9E in my computer, and I am pulling the 5g band anywhere in my house that has plaster mesh walls (destroys any radio signal)

One possibility is those Ethernet over power adapters. I've used them before and they are pretty good. We're definitely better than Wi-Fi connection was for my pc.

This,

I've used them myself a few times and they are >>> WiFi

Doing some anecdotal testing with a router 2 walls away. Power ethernet adapters kept about 85% of the speeds as a straight ethernet connection, WiFi only kept about 50-60% So a nice bump
