Here's what I'm looking for. Going to just be used to school & after. Primarily used for excel, word, and minor multi tasking/browsing.

$300-$500 budget
1080p
i3, i5, i7
Integrated graphics
500-1tb HD (may skip this)
SSD 128gb
8+GB ram
Lightweight and long battery life if possible

Show me what you guys can find, pretty much it. Prefer new/open box but may take cert refurb.

buy a used netbook for 100-150 then invest into a 9 cell battery for 9-12 hour run times.

Try Newegg refurb laptop. You can filter by preferences (CPU, screen res) and sort by low to high

EBAY OR LOCAL IS FINE, TRY TO GET ONE WITH REMOVABLE HARD DRIVE TO USE AN SSD AND A DUAL CORE.
damn caps, not retyping it
Most use single core with 2 lanes but if you can find a true dual core one it will last.
I still have mine from liek 5 years ago.
