Hey guys, I have a normal 230mbps down/10 up cable plan, however, when I have World of Warcraft open and logged into the game and I run a speedtest. It drops down to ~15mbps down/4mbps upload...

Why is this happening? my ping appears to be the normal 50ms but why is my speed 1/15th of what it should be?

WoW hardly pulls any bandwidth at all. Are you sure you don't have QoS (quality of service) set up in your router? This could explain why your bandwidth is limited during speedtesting, when playing.
And just for troubleshooting purposes, have you tried disabling all WoW addons, just to exclude them from the problem?

I have tried with all addons disabled, when im on character selection screen my speedtests are normal, but once im in the world is when it drops my speedtests.

As far as QoS I'm not sure, i'll log into it now and see;

Edit: Nothing about QoS in my router settings.

Try the following: Device Manager -> Find your network card, right-click it and enter Properties -> Hit the Link Speed tab and select 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex from the drop down menu, as seen below:

You might want to create a thread on their WoW Technical Support forums: https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/1011701/
They usually have mvps and official Blizzard representatives helping out there. Just be sure to mention what you've already tried, and that it's the same problem without any addons.
