Pretty sure this drive is on the way out but when I came home the other day it was unmounted.

File system gone. Did a quick format and running some recovery software now to see what I can salvage. Nothing important on there.

But if the drive is dieing I wouldn't expect it to be able to mount and pretty much run normally. Only thing I can think of is a brown out messed it up somehow.

Thoughts?

Saw some files could be recovered and just started that process. Should be done when I get home. I'll let you know.

Crystal Disk doesn't even recognize the disc even though it's mounted now and seemingly normal.
Seatools doesn't even load.

Just backed up some data and put it on the drive. I'll take my chances.

/edit
Wasn't able to recover anything.

you think that can handle overclocked 8700k or 7820x, oc'd2x1080ti, 16 fans, 4 ssd, 4 hdd, with few other devices and add on cards?

Thanks for the tip.
I will probably pick up a surge protector when I replace the drive. I am not overly concerned because it wasn't a loss of anything critical. I'm not even sure if it was a brown out or just the drive dieing of natural causes.
