so heres the link to NewEgg

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?CompareItemList=%2D1%7C34%2D234%2D653%5E34%2D234%2D653%2C34%2D234%2D727%5E34%2D234%2D727%2C34%2D234%2D727R%5E34%2D234%2D727R

my questions are: assuming 256 GB is more than enough for my core activities, with a 4 TB external hard drive for my movie/music collection, is the +400$ worth the increase in specs? what are they really aside from the extra 258 gb of SSD.

and is that even worth it for a casual gamer/users?

and finally: is Open Box worth the 250$ savings? I know in Best Buy when I get open box shit its exactly same but as I'm ordering online, not sure if its a risk worth taking?

oh and a final important question: seeing as the prices on bestbuy/amazon/newegg seem to be the same, although BB doesn't have stock, is there a preference for which I should order from? are one known to be better than the others etc?

thanks!

in very simplistic terms what does that mean?

I don't play any games that require the highest graphics, but then again thats because I never really had a top-end computer so maybe I would try them now..

is it just paying for extra storage + slightly better graphics?

The expensive one has a GTX 1080 a SSD twice the size, Gigabit LAN and WLAN and no speakers. Other than that they are all the same...at least according to the specs.

ye I did wonder why it would have no speakers.. that sounds like they just didn't add it into the specs by accident right? can't imagine they wouldn't be in there...

whats the real difference between a 1070 and 1080? if I don't plan on having too many graphics demands, should be negligible right?

I think I'm going to go with the open box unless anyone thinks thats risky in some form

The GTX 1080 is about 10% faster.

As for the speakers...maybe they didn't have room with the GTX 1080m in there, who knows.
