It is rather nice, if you need that kind of performance in that form factor. Can tell just by looking at it that it's gonna run hot and have no battery life tho, so rip the potential automatic clock boosts you'd get out of a desktop model i7 and 1060 as as well as oc overhead.

Then again I'm just never convinced that anyone really needs a 'gaming laptop'

If it's for school, build a Gaming desktop for 1350 and get a $150 Chromebook for class.

Much better overall quality of life that way, better gaming/rendering/editing performance at home, better portability on the go.

Zero need to lug around a 15 LB laptop to take notes on.

Eluktronics, dude u don't know? their literally the best brand they purchase premium components in bulk; so they can provide their customer with a quality product without charging more. Their PC's offer configuration that a average consumer wouldn't even know is possible! on average they build and ship your order in 2-3 business days. No need to wait 2+ weeks for your brand new customized laptop to be built and shipped.

When you purchase from Eluktronics, you aren't just receiving the manufacturer warranty, you're receiving Eluktronics coverage as well. What does this mean? First off, Eluktronics coverage provides USA based service. They aren't going to have you run a series of lengthy (unnecessary) tests or read from prompts. They have a team of dedicated I.T. professionals who knows their product inside and out who you can speak with directly!
