Need someone with a good amount of knowledge on this subject, because having chat support open with NVIDIA, Acer, and ZOTAC did not resolve my issue.
Acer just wants me to send them my monitor to repair it but I don't believe that is the issue.

Issue:

My monitor refresh rate is 120, it is over clockable to 165. When I over clocked it, it will still not exceed 120. my Nvidia CP will not let me create a custom framerate for some reason either.
I used their DDU to uninstall nvid and have reinstalled it multiple times (as per their instruction) trying to allow it to over clock properly. No resolution was found. That was yesterday.

This morning I tried to play a game of league, and now my G sync isn't working properly. I am getting frame drop and screen tearing.

Monitor: acer pred XB1
GPUs: 2x Geforce GTX 760

Anyone wanna stab at fixing my issue? really though if I can get the g sync issue fixed I can deal with 120 fps, the over clocking issue would just be nice to resolve

Reduce your overclock. Usually says they can go up to 165.
Doesn't mean it's guaranteed. Move up in increments.

Few questions for you..

Are you using hdmi or dport
Are you using ULMB mode?

Pretty much the only way i've found to get gsync to properly work with league, is to force vsync on in the nvidia control panel.

And your monitor is 144hz, not 120

I am not currently over clocking. It will not allow me to, but I am more focused on my frame rate dropping right now.

dport. and yes I am aware it is 144, but I can't get over 120 fps.
And you are saying to force V sync to stay on in the 3D settings?
Any reason why though? G sync is supposed to be able to replace v sync

I had to disable v sync

There was some other setting too

High performance or something in Nvidia control panel

Without vsync forced on, It doesnt use gsync in league. And doesnt cap your framerate to your refresh rate in games.

Think of it more as a framecap, more than actual vsync. since its using gsync.

If you can only get 120hz something is wrong with the actual panel. You need to return it.

Are you sure you're not in ulmb mode? That caps out at 120hz & Wont let you go above it.

If you want to overclock your mhz, simple do it from registry.
But do it on your own risk, not suggested at all. Can fuck up your screen.
