I bought a new laptop in the beginning of June, and I am just curious if I overpaid. I realize that desktops tend to be cheaper and better, but I currently don't have the space available for one. I have not had any problems with the laptop, and it has blown away anything I have thrown at it. I purchased it on sale for $2,300 with a $400 MIR. So after everything it came out to $1,900. I am still waiting on the MIR however lol. The laptop also came with a $200 Razer backpack, a nice fan stand thing, and a few other small things. Below is a the link to the laptop, tell me what you think.

Hope you did a fresh install to rid of the metric ton of garbage bloatware adware MSI bogs down their otherwise fine products with.

Yeah I only kept the control panels I actually use. So the price of the laptop is fine? I figured with SLI gtx 1070s I couldn't do much better for $1,900.

It's definitely worth what you paid...but bloatware is always an issue these days, with laptops and prebuilt desktops.

/e Even w/o the MIR it's still worth what you paid.

Awesome, glad to hear it! Yeah when I do desktops I build them myself, I just don't have the room right now. This is honestly the first laptop ive ever owned so I'm pretty new to them.

Keep it dust free, and always use it on a hard surface (so the cooling vents don't get blocked).

You should be good to go for gaming or production, for a while.

with MSI its exceptionally bad. nothing short of a clean install is good enough
It's not even just control panels

it's not really a laptop at that size and tdp, it's a desktop replacement.

My desktop cost me way more, but I don't have the room to hook it up.
