Budget: up to £2000

My last gaming laptop had obnoxiously loud fans under load, so I'm looking for something a bit quieter and also on the thin/light side. It also needs to be a 1060/1070 build, with a 256GB or higher SSD. I plan on always having it plugged whereever I find myself so battery life isn't a concern.

depending on what he's playing he can just run min settings/downscale and run with capped fps, keeping utilization and consequently noise & heat to a minimum at the cost of fidelity. The better he purchases the more feasible that will be.

i run most games capped at 40 fps cause i dont really feel a diff between 60 and 40
utilization is extremely low psu is room temperature good shit
