When is the Ryzen going to beat the performance of Intel for the price point?

The release of the Ryzen 3 1200 is pitiful. It's not any better than grabbing anything intel related at that price point

The Ryzen 3 1300 is also in the same spot, basically it's like this for ALL Ryzens.

There needs to be a 20-30% Decrease in price if you're just not getting the performance you could pay with intel.

I want Ryzen to be a thing, but at those prices- it's NOT.

$109 for a CPU!? Sounds Great!

And, it's the same as the FX 8320e for the same price. Lower Wattage, and a few minor increases- but overall, you're going to bottleneck your GPU.

Ryzen 1300X? $129

It performs like the FX-8350, same shit. A little cooler, a little lower wattage- but it's overall still worse than the FX-8350 and will bottleneck your GPU.

At $89 the 1200 would be a great choice

At $109 the 1300x would be the obvious choice- getting the FX8 Series off the market completely.

But, why- WHY, would anyone purchase the Ryzen 1200-1300x series at these prices?

It already does. Ryzen 5 1600 vs same price i5's is a total stomp.

closest thing i could find is the i3-7100 which costs a little bit more and is slower... Also dual cores are crap.

Gibberish. Intel has nothing that beats the 1300x at $129. 7350k is a contender but it costs a fair bit more on its own, requires aftermarket cooling and expensive mobo to reach the clock speeds where it is comparable, so that's irrelevant because we're no longer comparing the same price point. Dual cores are also still crap. Anything under 1300x's price from Intel gets completely pooped on.

I'm sorry.

What are you talking about? It's as fast a locked i5 which costs MUCH more and can potentially be oc'd further. Single core perf is up 50% over the 8320e.

Wrong again. Much cooler, much lower power consumption, and far more powerful cores.

Even at its current price it's more price/perf than the pentium everyone is wanking over.

i dont know why you keep mentioning that dead platform

because they don't need more than 4 threads, don't want to spend more for less by buying an i5, and they know buying a dual core in 2017 is retarded.
the product line only exists because AMD has a lot of semi-defective silicon that they'd rather sell cheap than turn into sand anyway.

Ryzen are superior in price/performance right now in all its series.
Remember Ryzen has a MUCH better IPC than FX-series.

ye ive been sitting on my haswell i5 for a few years now watching intel release shit that performs basically the same for the same price it's quite refreshing to see something finally knock the price for quad cores down a couple of notches. It's been stagnant for so long. Pretty sure the age of dual cores is done and over with now too, which is good it should have ended around 2013 or so.

Tho personally im waiting for Ryzen to mature for another generation or 2 before i upgrade, these clock speeds are abysmal.

I still went with i7 7700k over Ryzen. I'll spend the extra $50 and get better

Still depends on usage and optimization.

Only good shit from Ryzen is the R5 1600

R3 is trash. need to buy aftermarket cooler to take advantage of OC (since everyone is saying the current stealth cooler is garbage) which brings it far pass a g4560's value

Been on haswell myself too

Intel does release their new versions but are aimed at shit i can care less about
ryzen single core is pretty much same as what i have
And more cores seems to do shit for majority of games and other shit i do
Thing that pisses me off is software/game developers now days
Requirements needed for pc version far exceeds their console version
Seen some developers are using brand new systems with high-end parts like wtf shouldn't you be developing for mainstream 3ish years ago for descent settings then working up to the new shit
To not completely alienate the poorer or people that have older high-end systems
To me seems like they waste more money incorporating new features instead of making a fucking good all around game for all users

Exactly.
G4600
i3-7100 - somewhat contested to the ryzen 3 1200 - but i3-7100 has a better single core.
i5 7600k

Best " for the budget " in their price bracket. Ryzen doesn't touch these $values
