Just think they could have cut out the useless igpu and stuck 2 more cores on there for the same price

Yeah would have been lovely, specially on the overclockable models.

Might actually be worth upgrading for me if the hexa core can reach 5GHz on 280mm AIO.

ya, still dont understand why they keep an IPGU in the high end K models when the majority of people have GPU's.

Don't really see the point of 6 cores since most games barely even have the ability to use 4

Well the mainstream have been 2-4 cores for so many years. Why most games won't take advantage of more than 2-4.
Now Hexa is getting into mainstream this will probably change fast, specially with new API overheads DX12 and Vulkan.

that would be the end result yes
it would be slower than the igpu's we have now on cpu's since it doesn't get to piggy-back on cpu's heatsink and will probably be passively cooled, but it will serve its purpose which will be troubleshooting and office work

people multi task/stream and thats where the extra cores help out.
aside from the obvious rendering and shit.

Super useful to have SOMETHING when you need to troubleshoot a card/driver or pcie issue.
