I've got a old netbook.. got drunk, spilled a spit cup on it, then threw it across the room...

From what I remember... <_<

Anyway I could recover a few files off the hard drive?
I do have a desktop I could hook it up to if possible?

Yes the connectors should be the same
should be able to slide it out of the front somehow
laptop hard drives tend to be more durable than their desktop equivalents but there's no guarantee it survived your idiotic outburst

/e unless it's especially old in which case you may need an adapter.

Its allways possible to recover old files from a disk.
disks arent really vurnable to water spillage unless there was a big shock.

You can read disks via USB. just screw open your laptop take the disk out and plug it in a HDD USB reader like this one:

There are variations on sata to usb readers but most of them are fine and will cost you around 10-20 bucks.

I hope i helped you with this.
