laptop hard drives tend to be more durable than their desktop equivalents but there's no guarantee it survived your idiotic outburst

disks arent really vurnable to water spillage unless there was a big shock.
You can read disks via USB. just screw open your laptop take the disk out and plug it in a HDD USB reader like this one:
