So i have a TV thats been having backlight bleed issue, and its a 65 inch. I did not want to return it when i got it, and hoped the backlight bleed would become less noticeable. like maybe i wouldnt care as much over time or maybe it would get a bit better.

it still sucks and i have contacted the warranty. they may be sending a repair tech out to fix it. is that even something they would probably fix?

just wondering what i should tell them to get the best possible result from this technician?

thanks.

Good fucking luck with that.
Most techs are not taking apart a panel let alone in your house.

Probably to give you the: "There's no backlight bleed, it's just your imagination" spiel.

Widescreen movies are horrible for it

I can't tell anything from that pic.

I would make a pic, the resolution of your TV...all black. Then, show/view that pic on the TV. Then look at that for backlight bleed.

open the image in a new tab, look at the lizard guys zipper on his jacket. then directly below the zipper is the back light bleed. the movie is in widescreen, so the back light bleed is coming from the black part of the screen

Cause people are dumb and to actually evaluate it.
Saves from having it shipped to them if its not really a defect and its maliciously damaged.

You'd be surprised. Most warranty service on TVs that size is done on site, as the risk of damage in shipping that big of a TV twice is very high. Panels get replaced under warranty, too.
