Most of these articles came out around the time the Ryzen blender test vs the 6900k happened yeah?

the oldest articles i could find are dated dec 13-17 2016 so meh... that can't be a factor here. There was a pretty damn big gap between haswell-e and broadwell-e compared to broadwell-e and skylake-x.
But not unlike the gap between previous extreme edition launches
It still seems oddly prompt to me considering what a paradigm shift it is vs older generations of enthusiast platforms
