My mother in law said it was broken and I could keep it. The only issue is a dead hard drive. The diagnostic software built in says everything else is working fine. If I put in an ssd and install Windows should it work fine?

I intend on selling it to a coworker for $200 if I can fix it up. Serves no use for me.

Ya I realized that. Told him price for parts/key plus 150

I guess if you werw able to clone the old hdd you could save money on the os.

ebay has oem keys for windows 10 at like 3-5$.
You can get a low ssd for 50-60$ it doesn't have to be a beast ssd.

but it will be tiny

size doesnt matter if its just a boot drive

That was my plan. Do those keys work though? Was my only concern. Though $3 isnt much to be out.

Not like it can run many games or anything so 120gb should keep him satisfied

i wouldnt guarantee the keys, not knowing if legit or not.
