this high of voltage shouldn't be possible right? wouldn't it fry the cpu it has to be reading it wrong I have seen these high readings once before the program has been running for about 7 days without a restart

I don't know if that could have anything to do with it or not. what do you think.

Looks like auto on an asus board
3.044 is pretty high. Set to manual. can just Google the "start" settings (voltage/mutiplier) in an o/c guide and probably leave it there if you're not comfortable with overclocking.

Ive had it set to manual at 1.225 from day 1 and its not over clocked also its on a gigabyte x370 k7.

If you reset the BIOS to defaults for any reason, then it would be back on auto.

But, I think it's more likely that Turbo is what's doing it.

this, if your cpu really hit 3v+ at that wattage your 5v rail would have shit itself and your pc would have shut down, or the chip would have just popped like a balloon.
