So i have a laptop projecting to a second screen that is 75 hz capable. I enabled 75 hz in extended display mode with the other monitor and since then the screen flashed and causes the PC to crash.

My question for all you techies is how can I reset the monitor setting to 60hz without the monitor being connected? (this crashes the pc).

Obviously the monitor does not show when connected since it freezes the computer up because of the 75hz

Do you have a floppy drive? I've got a 3.5" diskette somewhere which sole purpose is to fix refresh rate related black screens.
I'm sure it would work with a more modern medium if you're interested in the files inside.

Oh you mean your laptop crashes instantly..thought for some odd reason you meant the external display crashes it.

lol my bad ok just boot into safe mode and force w/e u want.

The laptop freezes after flashing 5 times from failure to implement 75Hz. The monitor isn't recognized in safe mode

Yes, the laptop display does work.

VG245H is the model of the monitor
