So lets say you are logged into another person's wifi, such as at a business or another company. And you download an image or send an email and open a document. Can they potentially view the image or document that was opened or sent through the email?

In both cases such as:
1) You attach a document or image and email it
2) Someone opens that document or image from the email

In both cases can the image or documents be viewed? If just one, which?

If these are able to be viewed by the admin of the wifi or whatever, then can they see these easily? Or only if they specifically are trying to view individual items?

I know certain stuff is able to be viewed. But I am not sure exactly what.

Thanks.

For my knowledge no. It will be encrypted.
At most the admin will be able to track what websites etc you surf through things like wireshark.

But it is possible exploit WIFI to snap up information, but it's very illegal.

not at home. i am not asking about specific websites being viewed.

i am asking about documents and images downloaded through emails.

I am aware that website addresses can nearly always be viewed.

He sure can see what pages he visits.

But he would not be able to see what kind documents and images are getting sent or opened.

I'm assuming your email is through a web browser. If it's https, then no because the traffic is encrypted. If it's http, then maybe. But that maybe can take a lot of work, so even then it's most likely no. Most home and business users don't or can't invest in that capability.

If you are using public Wi-Fi you can easily find out
Who is connected & what the traffic is. Please don't ever enter private info while being connected to public Wi-Fi. Not sure what emails you are concerned about but just be cautious when at a public place. I was at a hospital a while back and someone used my PayPal while i was staying there lol.
