Basically, Pascal cards (specifically a 1070 in his case) show stable, high core clocks at lower voltage. In this guys video, he tests 2050 MHz core at .6v. When you actually bench them, TimeSpy shows at like 23 FPS stable. However, at stock core clock/voltage TimeSpy is seeing like 33 FPS. There's something built into Pascal cards that likely throttles the card and turns off shaders or something so that the card will still run. Apparently it's causing issues for people who like to do heavy overclocking and who like to mess with their cards.
Even more tl;dr: run benchmarks when overclocking Pascal cards to make sure you're actually getting better performance.
ok, I'll check other benches, my superposition scores increases but didnt check any other scores just loop 3dmark extreme 20 runs to check stablitiy
but I am on 1080ti and one of my cards will not hit max voltage for some reason waiting for newer ab dont like precisionx but might have to try it
