I've got an older desktop here and I just ordered a cheap RAM upgrade from eBay
I really want to play PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and I will need to upgrade my video card. I know it may bottleneck but I just want something to play PUBG for now.

Motherboard: ASUS P8H61-M
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2320 CPU @ 3.00GHz
RAM: 2x 4GB

I am mostly trying to get something used or cheap from eBay, looking to spend up to $150 on the GPU.

Any suggestions? Thanks :)

why are 480's going for 400 on newegg.com? just cause theirs no stock? whats their regular price in america? if that's under 150 then he can go 480 for sure

also if you go 1050 ti pretty much any one of them would do, just pick from here

Yeah idk. I just googled 470 for him and the cheapest new one is 350 dollars. I have an asus arorus one i have had sitting in the box for a few months now i paid 110 for...might have to cash in on that one haha.

you can usually get a better deal on craigslist if you search your local (you can offer lower than ebay since you aren't covered by any return policies and ebay fees)
but i think a 970 is a good option right now. oddly 290's still cost more and 470/480 prices are whacked right now.

This will work with my MOBO? Looks like a good price but I'm not too knowledgeable with PC parts.

Yes mobos do not have requirements of graphics cards so it will work. It's a bit weaker than the 970 i showed you.

heres a video that shows the difference.
you could also browse your local craigslist for a 970, im sure you can meet budget with it :)

I've been trying to get a snipe on kijiji or ebay I could check cragslist too.

I'm not too worried about performance, but rather budget. Eventually when I start working and finish school I want to build a sick new desktop and have this old one as a backup or for friends to play on. I really want to play PUBG looks like a ton of fun.

I understand that, but you should make sure budget makes sense for performance!
All chips are pretty much the same thing. the only reason to pay more or less is for performance in some way!

If you spent 150 on a 970 you would basically get more performance than if you bought a 1050 ti for 150.

In any event, that's your range, either a 1050 ti new, or a 970 used, or maybe even a 3gb 1060, used if you could be so lucky.
