So i got a samsung 65 inch tv. and this is my first time mounting a tv. i got the mobile tv mount and it uses the same bracket as a wall mount. the TV manual says to use 43-45 mm m8 screws for the TV.

but even a 35 mm screw is too long because i am not using the spacer that comes with the TV. the spacer with the TV is too thick to be used with my wall mount bracket that i bought.

so i found 4x 5 mm spacers and i used like 3 washers to help make the screw a tighter fit. the screws in the wall mount bracket are now pretty tight, but the bracket does jiggle a very small amount when i move it with my hand.

As long as the screws are firmly into the thread of the TV, the little jiggle should be fine right?
if i add 1 more washer to each screw then it will be tight, but will not be using all of the thread inside the TV.

Edit: most of the wiggle room seems to be caused because the back of the TV is made of plastic and it can flex a bit when pressed against.

Get the right sized spacer, then.

Home Depot or Tru - Value Hardware will have them.

the weird thing is that the back of the TV flexes a bit. i think ill go to the local hardware store and check out their spacers or washers.

i think 1 decent sized spacer, and then 2 to 4 washers should be fine right? just to get the perfect fit....

the left bracket used the same number and type of washers and spacers as the right bracket. but the left bracket seems much looser. so i guess the parts are slightly off, considering its in millimeters and it makes a difference

I'm worried. The stand is top heavy to start with and now you say it wiggles.
Sounds to me like an accident just waiting to happen.

I hope it doesn't, but when you try to use things not like they were designed, you need to be extra careful to do things ...extra stable and strong.

the bracket attached to the back of TV to mount it to the stand wiggles a bit. but the screws are in secure into the holes of the TV. ill get some washers and stuff just to be sure. but i wasnt sure how bad it was if the bracket wasnt tight, even though the screws are into the tv firmly and its only a small amount of wiggle.

In my honest professional opinion, if it jiggles when you move it with your hand stop trying to move it with your hand.
