Break cleaner is corrosive.

Just use a microfiber cloth and rubbing alcohol.

THIS. If you need to clean the gold contacts on any circuit board...just use a plain old pencil eraser.

Keep brake cleaner far away from your motherboard.

Weighing my options for cleaning 3+ year old corrosion from leaking coolant. Bought the motherboard for dirt cheap, just getting opinions, Tech City Yes on YouTube does/did clean Motherboards like this all the time.

I'm well aware this is a corrosive, I do frequent automotive work and have a ton to spare.

Then you are also aware break clean will eat way anything plastic it comes in contact with.
