My headphones to snap crackle and pop. When I disconnect the antenna the audio is clear. (Tried 2 other sets of headphones and front/rear audio jacks)

Do you think the antenna is broken or is it a different issue?
This issue only occurred since yesterday, I moved my desktop and now it sits right above my modem.
Is it too close for the wifi and it's causing interference?

My desktop is on top of my desk(no pun intended), the shelf below it has my PVR/DVD, and the shelf below that is my modem.

This issue does not occur when hard wired into my modem.

Sounds like you've found the solution.

Are they wireless headphones? Wireless consumer electronics generally operate on a very narrow band so it's not uncommon for interference to occur, try changing channels if possible, or better yet switching to wired. I've never not had an issue with wireless peripherals acting wonky occasionally due to interference, so I would generally advise against them.

If the issue is occurring with wired headphones the problem is electrical interference in the motherboard itself, you might be able to fix that by plugging your antenna into the front case usb ports instead. Alternative fix is to pick up a soundblaster or any other sound card if you have a free PCI slot and use that for audio instead.

Hope I helped!

The headphones are wired and the wireless network card plugs into the mobo (Asus pce n10)
