Would like to play newer games like playersunknowns battlegrounds, bf1, and future games to be released on decent settings. Here is current specs

Would an RX 480 4gb, i3 6100, and b150m mobo be a good upgrade? What would you pay for these used?

Edit: would it be worth just grabbing the gpu at a decent price and buy a Mobo cpu somewhere else? What's this gpu worth used

Save up more money for more meaningful upgrades.

It will be a significant upgrade, but i wouldn't expect to do much future anything on a dual core and 4gb vram is fine for now

pretty much yeah save up some more but it's still a much better computer...

If you can OC the 955 to 4ghz it's actually pretty decent for how old it is

also a bad idea for the purpose of playing stuff in the future imo
save up a bit for ryzen
or wait, iintel will soon have competitive budget-mid range options and ryzen 2 will be out with better support faster memory and higher clocks

Is the gpu decent? If I don't get that I'll probably only get a 1060

1060 3gb and rx 480 4gb are pretty much the same, depends if you favor nvidia or radeon with the exception nvidia has less power output

Go for the 580 imo
