so i have my computer basically at shoulder/head height with an open case i know stupid, one time i knocked some water off the table and as it was tipping towards the rear of my pc i shoved the glass forward and onto the carpet, a little bit must have splashed onto it because it immediately booted up but i yanked the cord out of the power supply so hard i banged my forearm/wrist on furniture and got a bruise anyway i waited 2 days to boot it up and for the last 5 months it has been working fine  good shit

anyone else have a story like this?

Oh yeah another time my Aunt was hopped up on snow and tried to 'fix' the office pc by opening the case laying it on its side and repeatedly falling onto the internals.. one of the four latches for the fan had broken and it was only held on by 3 after that but the thing still worked with no noticeable change in temps..

Was fixing pc for client at a shop.
Dude was paying extra if I could show him how to identify issue and such.
Told him wait for my signal and plug it in, he took it as plug it in.
PSU's was open as I was testing it, cap discharged, whole arm numb for two hours.
could barely move it. needless to say I kicked him out.

How is that bad phrasing? Is English not your first language?
Worst I've done is spill shit on my keyboard.

Well the problem is it can be interpreted two ways as the word 'and' has more than one meaning, one of which would have been to wait for your signal and (in addition) plug it in. It should have been obvious but still, eliminating all confusion by using 'to' instead would have been preferable, you have to be as literal as possible with retards, especially ones who have zero understanding of consumer electronics.

I had a gtx 9800 dying on me once and I had no money and no proper cash flow for the following months after.
So I baked my gpu in the oven 8minutes 200c.

It lasted until I was able to upgrade to a 660ti 5 months later.

Valid point, though his excuse was he only heard plug it in.
I mean I looked at him and stated it and he nodded in agreement turn for a second and *POP then pain ensued.

Got hit with 10kv the other day at work :)

when I was in high school, I had thst molded Xbox B)

Anyways I went to flash it and I had the case open and it was connected to another computer, the hdd was out and resting on the computer case which was off. Someone came to the room of the door and called me, I turned around, bumped the hdd it slip down the case toward the mobo of the Xbox, made contact, shorted the whole thing

Also did something similar to what king_arturs guy did

My dad was working on this stereo receiver, told me to wait and plug it in when he said to, I plugged it in right away, speaker wires were in but not hooked to speakers, shorted it...
