Sadly setting up my own server would be a bit out of my knowledge range and we need something immediate. In the long run I would definitely look into this but for now I just need the most reputable well functioning software we can fine

This is for a business btw

just use google drive or drop box. both allow 1tb of data for 10$ a month.
then invest into your own server.

well I need someone that would keep like one folder on my desktop constantly sync'd with someone else's any time we actually update and save it.

I am already aware of the options of manually uploading the newly edited file but I want something that does it automatically to Anyone who may be signed into the program.

this is also from state to state business.
Not just a single building.
Not to mention multiple locations (9+) at any one time that need access instantly and quickly.

Yeah this. Their Google docs or w/e will even show who has file open and working on it and sync's. Pretty sure it's Iike that for all their office programs. Just have to setup the permissions correctly.

I just want whatever syncs a folder on my desktop to 5 other desktops anytime something is updated without me manually going online and having to upload it

there actually is a google drive software.
install this on your computer, log into whatever gmail work account u have.
it will put a Google Drive folder on your desktop.
Everything u put in there, will be automatically uploaded to the website itself.
u can share libraries, folders, any documents.

there is also google docs, where u basically work in real-time on a document.
u can see what i write, u can edit my stuff and all that jazz.
this is on the website itself, not the desktop application
