to add on

what cpu

and what resolution/refresh rate are you looking for
do you want ips for better color reproduction or do you not care

cpu's hardly relevant.
what resolution is determined by his budget/gpu.

unhelpful, to be frank

i have the vg248qe and would not suggest it.

I have that asus monitor too ( 27" ) and would highly suggest it, its very affordable and does the job right

I bet you didnt even change your hardware settings to accept 144hz and its running 60hz thats why u mad

cpu limits min/max fps, gsync (out of budget, but still relevant for my point) and freesync become useful if his cpu and/or gpu is junk

i have them both set to 120hz so my gpu idles at 150mhz and 26c instead of 61c 1150mhz

the refresh rate is fine, the color reproduction no matter what icc profile or calibration i've done is abhorrent

1080p at 27" is terrible though i am sorry lmao
