I am trying to wardrive but was wondering about other peoples setups. I want a compact (smaller than 10") wifi anttenna mainly built for the client side. One cable preferrably that is also plug and play with an ubuntu based linux distrobution. Been looking for several hours but haven't found any good ones. Does anyone have any antennas that they have used and liked?

your best bet is a yagi antenna.
Making it yourself would be best if you know how otherwise pay the premium cause if you fuck it up it wont work.

If you want super simple try using soem of those alpha's with a directional antenna.

Remember just cause you can see the signal doesn't mean the signal can talk back.
