Better off getting a reg tv & adding a device to it.. Instead of a 'smart tv'

They're horribly slow & suck.

Its a TV, Showing 24-30fps typically

I plan on getting the amazon fire TV.

Not so much interested in the "smart" aspect of it

I'm wanting to buy a TV tomorrow. Might run by best buy too see what they've got in store. Sam's club had a few good options when I went by there today as well.

they had this one at my sams club

https://www.samsclub.com/sams/55-uhd-smart-3-hdmi-hdr-wifi/prod20151917.ip?xid=plp11810111-elec:product:1:14

is 120hz

I'm pretty out of my element when it comes to TVs though.

I just want the best 50-55" I can get for like $600 maybe $700 for a significant upgrade.

I plan on buying a soundbar to go with it as well. Don't need anything nice audio wise it is for master bedroom.

The current HDMI standard doesn't have the bandwidth to carry 4K video at 120 fps. Particularly when you factor in things like HDR, deep color, and 4:4:4 chroma subsampling.
