So I wanna get something a little more modern than the free one I got from my isp. I mostly game over my internet, but I also stream movies like Netflix and such. I do also run the wifi for my phone.

So I'm looking for something under $150, I would like one that runs ac wifi.
What are some features I should really look for as a bonus to getting something one of these?

Thanks in advance.

I can personally recommend TP-Link Archer C7. Able to run 155mpbs/155mbps over WIFI.
The ASUS RT-N66U is also a great router.
You can find both under 90$

Right now it tops out at around 7mbps. I'm still on contract for a few months, but will be switching to cable, and unless they change their offer, I'll be using a 40mb package. Guess I should mention it'll have to be cable compatible.

As for the routers you posted, I got no beef spending 100+ if it will mean better performance with gaming and streaming videos. Will the cheaper ones compete with the more expensive models?
EDIT: Additionally I need a router that can support several devices at once.*

I got 7 WIFI devices and 2 cable on my Archer C7.
as for router 100$+ you mostly pay for features you would never use.

The Archer C1200 for 59$ would be sufficent. probably reaching speeds around 120mbps in your household on WIFI and 1gbps on cable.
The router has 4 ethernet cable connection.

ugh 7mbps must be a nightmare.

I had a 25mb for the longest time, but felt it was too expensive for just inet. So I switched to dsl.... fucking mistake! Tho gaming isn't much of a problem, I still wreck folks.. but it's the streaming and using multiple devices that makes things run really slow. I'll have another look at this C7.
Tyvm for your time and help bro
