Okay, so I have a GTX 1060 and an AMD FX 8350

My modular Power Supply I bought with my GTX 750 didn't need a 6pin connector. I didn't buy the extra modular cables for a 6-pin.

I took my old computer's PSU which is a 600watt non-modular.

My old PSU is about 8 years old and I think it cannot handle the load of my CPU at full load aswell as my GPU

Here is what happens:

While playing just about anything (Day 2 of this happening) my PC will just completely power off and will not start back up unless I manually turn the switch off on the PSU and back on to reset it.

Is it bad if I use 2 PSUs? One for my CPU/motherboard and the other JUST for my GPU?

So here is how it would be setup:

New 2016 Plugged into the Motherboard

Old PSU plugged with a 6-pin to the GPU(Nothing else).

Q: What will happen if my GPU PSU turns off while my Computer is on? Will it be safe to restart the GPU?

Q2: do you guys think the PSU is the problem?

I want a ghetto fix I can do in the next 10 minutes. The cable is 2 days out shipping.
