My cooler is a Corsair H55 if i'm not mistaken.


Just wondering, is it safe to overclock with my current setup?

Most likely yes. But depends on your psu aswell.

For better oc your chassi would necessarily have to be a good one

Yeah should be able to overclock it some.
Get Aida64 to stress your system and collect the highest current tempeture you get and get back to us.

Never used nor heard of this program before.

I'm guessing I should trial Aida64 Extreme?

Yeah just select the trial version. It will still allow you to do the stress testing.

Over a 5 minutes 100% stress test, Core #2 got the hottest @ 47C, which seems relatively decent?

Yeah that decent. I personally aim for about 75c under stress test. Equals about 65c when heavily gaming.
Some are fine with 85c+ which could mean something with the chip longlivity but must likely gonna change it before anyways. And some don't like temps over 60c.
