i know nothing about over clocking other than may speed up a pc. can anything be done safely on my rig

With proper cooling you could OC your CPU, but until you get a halfway serious vid card, I wouldn't worry about it.

We could give a better answer with more info...

Which IS why I asked for the Speccy screenshot. It looked like a laptop to me.

You asked for it after he posted it.
Meaning you could see parts when you posted.

If it looked like a laptop why on earth would you tell him he needs a new gpu then he can oc it.
If you were unsure about what it was why did you even post that remark.
