So i have a QNIX that is around 1.5 years old. the whole startup windows screen before typing in a password is normally blue. but just now it was all light green color. i then restarted my computer and the blue was less of a solid green, but still is affected. literally every screen is a shade of green now.

i plugged in my desktop tower to my tv and the tv displays everything properly. so i think its my monitor that is dying after around 1.5 years.... i bought it on ebay from china.... i wonder if theres anything they would do. or i might just buy an asus 1440p monitor like i should have from the start....

what can i do to try and fix this shitty green color..... it just happened all of a sudden when booting up. did not happen slowly.

edit: also the letters of words are very shitty, they are like at a much worse resolution than before

Probably a loose cable, but also check it on another pc.

i dont have another desktop. i do have a laptop though.
so i use a vga i or dvi, forgot which, to connect to my monitor.
but i used an hdmi cord to my tv and duplicated display and did display only on tv, and both show up fine on the tv.

i checked the power cable several times. the one into the outlet, the one into the monitor, and the adapter block for the power. didnt do anything.

im about to check the gpu, although i doubt its the gpu, since my tv displays fine when plugged in to my gpu

i think the monitor is fucked

Check your cable. Wiggle that shit around. My guess is a bad DVI cable.

but yea, qnix has been suggested before several times and it was a bit cheaper for a 1440p monitor

If the colors are OK on your TV, then that pretty much leaves the monitor itself...or the monitor's settings (OSD).


/e QNIX are substandard panel from companies like Samsung and LG etc. This is well known.

oh my fucking shit.... lol thanks alot! herp derp. i checked the dvi/vga whatever cable that plugged into my tower earlier and nothing changed. but i just now fking wiggled the other end in my monitor.... i forgot lol and now its working thanks alot!

ok ghot now u guys can argue, my problem is fixed thanks to sushi!

It happens to my catleap. I need to buy a new cable as the wires bend and break over the years. I was half tempted to offer to buy your "broken" QNIX. lol
