Last time I had a corrupted hdd I used easeus to retrieve data.

Just spent hours scanning and doing the deep scan and at the end it tells me scanning is free but i have to pay for recovery..

All methods of recovery can make it worse. If the data is that critical then you should use a company that specializes in it. Costs mucho dollars tho.

Are you able to still see the files?
I know this sounds silly but:
Plug it in as a secondary drive, lmk if you can see any files.
Run a scan using norton (it generally does what I need it to do)
Get back to me (pm me)
