I'm buying a fully built computer from a guy on craigslist

was gonna download some kinda software to run and I know stress tests aren't the best thing but figured something to monitor the temperature and push it a bit to see if it blue screens

I'm buying it without the gpu but will have a gpu installed at the time of testing
or I can remove it.

obviously making sure all the usbs work, harddrives and ram show up etc

what else to check or look for?

figured a 5 min stress test would test the processor and the psu

its an i5 4690k

Run mdsched.exe (just do a search for the file on your computer and run it) and check for memory problems. (restarts computer)

Valley and aida64

Run both for 10 mins each

pass then you're most likely good.

Just look for normal neglect items such as dust and what not

All ya really need is AIDA64 Extreme, it will test pretty much everything.

/e The Statistics tab will show the PSU voltages as well.
