Don't necessarily need, I'm currently running a gtx 760 though and from benchmarks I've looked at this card would be somewhat of an upgrade I think.

I just checked benchmarks it's only 5000 vs 5300, not much of an upgrade really and depending on the game the performance might actually be worse. On the other hand that's a good price and it would be interesting to see the difference.

You realize that benchmarks are subjective

Some cards perform far better in certain games or tasks than other cards, yet both could only be a few points apart in a generic performance test

They could have a huge difference in certain games and almost none in others

hence, subjective

Non necessary upgrade

Nah 80 backs saved is a massive upgrade later
