prefer closed back

i listen to everything but 80% of what i listen to is metal/metalcore etc

any recommendations? around $150-200

For that budget I would suggest Sennheiser HD598 even though they are open back. If you must get closed back then I would look for Beyerdynamic DT770.

The Beyerdynamic is a good suggestion. In my opinion, if you're listening to -core music get some Audio-Technica M50x. A little more bass than neutral-sounding headphones, but very good for metalcore and hardcore.

Beyers are more comfortable how ever and they have plenty of bass as well.

More comfortable is subjective.

Well, pretty much every one I have talked with about comfort between those cans have agreed to that.

what is not subjective then, in regards to headphones?
