Hi thanks for looking, I was wondering if any one would be able to help me with an issue i have been having.

I do not know why but when i started my PC the other day my "Fn" button is working in reverse. By this i mean if i do not hit the Fn Key while trying to use my F1-F11 it uses my computers dim screen, brighten screen, pause, fast forward, Etc.

I have A Hp Envy dv6-7213nr

I have tried to reset my bios settings, and a few other settings within the Pc's Control Panel.

And no my computer does not have the num lock option to change Fn lock.

If any one could please help me i would greatly appreciate it.

Here is the solution I found on another website...

(0) Save all your open documents and stuff and close their respective programs
(1) Navigate to the following directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Toshiba\System Setting
(2) Double-click on the "System Settings.exe"
(3) Scroll down in the left menu until you find "keyboard"
(4) Click on the "keyboard" menu option and change the default "special function mode" to "normal f1-f12"
(5) Click the "apply" button and allow your computer to restart.
All done!!

or

ctrl + fn

or

alt + fn

or

holding fn for 10 seconds

Tried all of the latter and while trying to reset bios it asks for an image.

I said update bios in which case you need a bios file from the manufacturers website.
