Yes, I know I can google this but I'd rather someones opinion on here.

I have a jailbroken fire stick and I keep reading that I should use a VPN and so here I am.

Are they free?

There are free ones, but they're not good. Do you really need one though? The only purpose they serve is bypassing regional restrictions, and its easier to stream from websites accomplish the same goal.
