Post your opinion on best CPU cooler.

whats your socket budget?

MSI x99a board i7 6850k

No budget sorry. Just your favorite one you've ever used.

Mostly but not always...it just depends on personal preference.

AIR = easiest and cheapest.

AIO Water = next easiest and next cheapest.

Full loop = less easy and more costly.

Phase change = very easy and very costly.

Liquid Nitrogen/Helium = hard but not that costly. Not practical for a long term cooling solution.


In short: Get whatever cooling solution does the cooling job for you.

I'm going liquid cooled closed system.

Yeah if you want to get real involved, spend 500+ bucks on parts and build a custom loop, I'd say that's the best type of cooler. You'll need a pump, tubing, radiator, waterblock, fittings and fans. I can link you up some youtube videos talking about what to buy and stuff if you're interested.
