Hello everyone, my girlfriend needs a laptop to watch series and movies so we can connect it to the TV.

That is all we need do you have some suggestions? Remeber cheapest as possible but functional.

a netbook/chrome book will do this.

Could just get a raspberry pi for $40 & stream movies/etc from your PC to it.


Or as art said, Netbook/chromebook will work fine.

If your going that route get the one listed above the others will be far to slow, for steady 1080.

Be warned that Raspberry pis use linux and it does have a learning curve.

Depending on the budget I would suggest a Nvidia Shield Tablet. You can stream/play back movies, but you can also play games, read, browse the internet, and all the other things on it as well.

Plus it will cost about the same as a netbook which is literally shit tier and can barely do anything besides web browsing.

A price range would be nice.

Except you can just get a flash drive with Noobs installed on it & double click 'install omsc' Boom, Done.

eh if it lags on a netbook grab a hd-decoder and your laughing.
