Hello there, guys

I slapped an SSD into my Dell Inspiron 15 7559 laptop - it was M.2 Toshiba SSD taken from Lenovo X1 Carbon (bought two identical for two of these laptops from which other worked just fine out of the box).
One laptop with this problem worked fine for half a year with HDD setup and error occured just after installing SSD, other one got M.2 SSD installed right after purchase and windows setup worked fine.

I am trying to install Windows 10 64-bit version but it fails right after loading files from bootable USB and windows loading screen appearance with page_fault_in_nonpaged_area error.
32-bit installs without problem.

I am using legacy mode and ntfs fs bootable usb - iso is downloaded from MS directly and made bootable via console. I have tried also making bootable with MS tool (media creation tool) and Rufus, both having same results.

I had 64-bit Windows 10 running on HDD before which installed just fine. I have tried running setup with different RAM configs, both tested for 5 passes. One 8GB stick and one 4GB stick. SSD is tested and have no errors found.

Also have updated and downgraded BIOS to different versions with no success of booting 64-bit setup.

I am losing my mind slowly, anyone have any ideas or similar experience?
Many topics seem to point to memory or other hardware problems, few to outdated BIOS etc but it doesn't seem to be like this.

The BIOS needs to be set to UEFI

Wouldn't it affect both 32 and 64 bit version installation if it was supposed to be UEFI?

I'll give it a shot but few times I tried, BIOS didn't recognize USB when in UEFI mode.

Dunno. I just know you need, BIOS set to UEFI, the right version of Windows, and you need to enable NVMe in the BIOS (if using the M.2 drive).

Same result, same error when in UEFI mode.

My m.2 SSD is sata, not pcie, forgot to mention.

Try running just one stick of RAM, until you get Win 10 installed?

/e All I can find is RAM issue or some hardware that has no Win 10 drivers.
This assumes the bootable Win 10 image is ok, which it sounds like it is.

/ee This is assuming there is nothing on the SSD already.

I am using one stick - tried 1x8GB stick and 1x4GB stick which both tested OK. SSD is empty, formatted several times from console and Windows setup formatting option.

:(

32-bit version installed with no hassle.

Have you EVER had 64 bit Windows on that laptop?

/e Some CPUs can't do 64 bit. These days, there aren't too many left...but....

Yes, it is said in first post. I had 64-bit Windows running on it before I had SSD, also my brother bought exact same laptop which installed 64-bit Windows on same SSD out of the box without hassle.

If you are installing legit Windows 10, you can always open a Microsoft Chat. :/
