I am currently looking into upgrading my graphics card but I am just curious if my current computer is going to be able to utilize it 100%.

There are some games I currently play at sub par graphics settings and I want to change that. I bought my computer about 4 years ago so its getting old, heres the specs:

Gateway FX6860

i7-2600 @ 3.40GHz
16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM
64 bit operating system

My graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti

Is there anything else I should be listing?

Im looking to upgrade to something fairly decent with a $600-$700 price range.

Thanks for your time.

Get SPECCY here: http://www.piriform.com/speccy/download
...get the FREE version from the: Piriform Link
...Speccy is a really nice system hardware/temperature, information Utility.
...simply install it...and run the program...then post a screen shot of the main page of the program, when posting a problem/question on these forums.

It'll bottleneck it a little bit. Would still be worth upgrading the 2600 is still useable by todays standards.

Thanks for your help, what do you mean when you say it will bottleneck it a little bit?

The card wont be used to the full potential due to the slower IPC on the cpu.

You might be able to spend a bit less but get the same performance by getting a different graphics card that has a lower spec and therefore won't be bottlenecked.

You can get a 1070 for around 400$. Would be more than adequate for your current rig. If you want to get big penis status just buy a 1080 strix. Be aware that your processor may hold the card back a bit.
