So the other day I had Fiber internet put into my house. When I did the speedtest before he left, it was around 910/940. A day or so later I started to notice a little decline in the performance and checked my settings first.
I seen that it was listed at an auto-negotiation for 100mbs/full and when I went to my ethernet connection, it shows that it's capped at 100.
I have two network adapters listed,
Intel(r) Ethernet Connection (2) I218-V (the one I use)
and another I'm not sure about, TAP-Windows Adapter V9.
The other day when this first occurred, I was able to tinker with it enough to get it to put the speed up to 1.0 GBPS and it worked fine until I restarted my computer this morning. When I force it to go to 1.0gb full it will never connect to the internet. When I messed with it, I believe by restarting the connection I got lucky and it fixed itself. Doesn't this time.
If someone can help me find a permanent fix, i'll go get you some fg!
