Hey all, so I built my PC about a year and a half ago. Actually with some help from CHD.

Issue
Comp will not power on, i have had this issue before where the case power button is completely unresponsive. This is my third time encountering the problem.

The first time i simply gave up and came back to it an hour later, it ran with no issue
The second time, I replugged the case power button cable to the mobo, it ran. This time it seems to be harder to resolve.

Comp has been plugged into the same spot for its entire lifetime and issues only started in the last 2 months.
Fans do not spin,
1 case light is on(red led beside power button) ethernet port light and mobo light is off
I have tried plugging it in without power bar, i have tried switching PSU switch on and off.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Also after some tinkering and trying new pins for the case buttons the hdd and power led are on.

But no fans and no display. So the power led seems to be giving false positive. Mobo and ethernet port still not lighting up tho

So inconsistent case lights, otherwise no signs of power

Sounds like you just have the wrong pins on the motherboard.
What motherboard do you have?

thanks for your help man, you put me on the right track.

I think i had some anomaly issues pulled the case cords and put them back fucked up, prolonging my experience of the issue haha

Oh well learnt how to do it right for next time
