needs: ps4, ps3, xbox 1, call of duty/ battlefield mainly for now but i want to eventually build a nice computer so i want to get something i can use for that too so league and starcraft also.

budget: $200 preferably $250 tops

what specs should i be looking for?? so far from reading i have gathered i want this: 1ms response time, 144hz, 24 inches (ive heard anything bigger is too large?) and something to do with the colors i dont really understand. and something about motion 240 and displayport that causes input lag?

any help is greatly appreciated =D here are links to the ones i am looking at now.
also pretty sure im missing something obvious since the only one of these that mentions console gaming is the benq one.
right now im pretty sure i want the LG for 250.

If it's worth anything I managed to get global elite in counterstrike

On a 1080p 24 inch 1ms 144hz refresh rate monitor.

The 144 Hz won't matter at all on consoles the only thing that will help us the increadibly low response time. It also won't really help you unless you play for games like counterstrike it bf1 ect.

144hz is not important for Gaming neither is it for league or Starcraft.
If you play competitive fps game like csgo, overwatch, rb6:siege etc etc ... than the 144hz will come in handy.

Out of the 3 you posted the LG had a far more superior panel and the image quality is superior.
For pure console Gaming I'd go with the 2455.

Have you considered the XL2411XL?

You can't play console games on a 144hz monitor. Most console games are 30 fps, some are 60 fps, and none go higher than that. Not to mention you need to use DVI-D or DisplayPort for 144hz, and consoles don't have that. I guess you could use HDMI 2.0 if they support it (?), but like I said... they don't output more than 60 fps in any game.

144hz gaming is way, way, way better of an experience than 60hz gaming is, on any game type

@op, benq xl2411z
you're welcome

On console the fps is locked at 30 or 60 fps depending on game and console. It dosen't matter if you have a 144hz screen if you don't produce over 60fps in game.

oh
for console?
lmao woops i can't read

asus vn248h-p is really nice, then. 120$ for a slim bezel 1080p ips with built in speakers that aren't bad at all.

but for pc usage, benq xl2411z (144hz 1ms 1080p 24") is ideal, as a starter gaming-orient monitor

thats the LG that has that and after further research it says it only has 1ms response at 144hz so i guess that isnt going to do me any good =\

i want to save my self money later on when i do build a computer by getting one that is good for both if at all possible. but the more and more i look into it i am not sure that i can and im probably going to get the benq RL2455 for 200.

is this the one u are talking about for $289? i couldnt find anything under that number but instead this one XL2411. that looks like a pretty good one for what im looking for looks like a great one for pc but then how about consoles? might be a good pick. the LG one i posted would not be 1ms response on console only at 144hz does it have that response. would this one have the same issue?

Low response time will be the best option for a console. 1 MS response times you're looking at most 144 TN panels.
