How do I test is a hard drive is good?
My computer got struck by lightning and didnt power on. I changed the motherboard and now it powers on but comes to a windows repair window & wont let me through that so I am figuring the hard drive got toasted?
If this computer has 2 harddrives how do I know which one is bad or if both are bad?
I have no put the motherboard cd in yet

or try one drive at a time then change cables.
Also if windows repair doesn't work could just be corrupted os and nothing with the drive just format it.

Use a pickup coil and take a recording of the drive.
You can tell if the drive has physical damage 90% of the time by the way it sounds.
