Tried to download some manga, shit went south and now I've got maleware popping up

I run malewarebytes and it detects it and I remove it, restart my pc, scan again and it's there. Any ideas?

*Free* version doesn't remove anything. RIP all your account usernames and passwords. I suggest you get paid Antivirus, it will remove it and prevent it from coming back.

disconnect your ethernet cable...
boot into safe mode try again.
run eset's online scanner after also.

if it persists then google guide for each infection

or

format.

/edit
also kid above knows nothing
thats a trojan dropper it brings in the real malicious code which you apparently don't have yet.

I ran in safe mode (stupid of me not to do off the bat, forgot about it), ran MWB, got rid of the maleware, restarted, ran it again and it's not popping up anymore.

So looks like it is gone, I'm going to run eset's online scanner too and scan later in the day as well.

TYVM, appreciate the help

ByteFence is a scam anti-virus program. Uninstall it from appwiz.cpl / add remove programs. You don't have to reformat.... it's not serious.

The free version of MWB does remove threats. It just doesn't have proactive protection and scanning.

This. You should just be able to uninstall ByteFence.
