got home, computer wont start

stuck @ "starting windows"

can't format, can't start in safe mode, can't reinstall OS

/mindfucked

read on forums it's a harddrive issue

take out m.2 I'm running my OS on, no go

take out everything I can think of, sound card, LED lights, case fans, nothing

remember I didn't see my SSD in my bios (I have 256gb m.2, 120gb ssd, 1tb WD HDD)

unplug SSD

works flawlessly

ssd has 0 files on it that control windows boot

fuck computers

Try booting with your main drive only perhaps.

Use a different sata port and see if the issue persists

I did, seems like the drive just died somehow, not even a year old yet. Odd.

Already have a warranty form filled out, I'll sent it back tomorrow and probably get a new one back towards the end of next week.

I've had them die on me in less than a year. It happens. RMA it

samsung evos are overrated and not worth the price premium in my opinion
ive had 1 before and it had issues of being slow after couple months of use

This is the only issue I've had with mine, and I'm going to get it replaced under warranty with really no questions asked.
